Truk Lagoon, also called Chuuk Lagoon, is one of the world’s premier wreck diving destinations. Once a Japanese naval stronghold in the Pacific, it became an underwater graveyard during Operation Hailstone in 1944, leaving dozens of ships, cargo vessels, and aircraft sunken to the lagoon floor. Decades of submersion have transformed these wrecks into vibrant artificial reefs, covered in colorful corals and swarming with tropical fish. What You’ll See
You’ll navigate through an era of history and, if conditions allow, carefully penetrate larger ships to explore WWII artifacts preserved underwater. Each dive is a perfect balance of luxury, safety, and immersive exploration, providing divers with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience history and marine life in one extraordinary location. Prepare to witness Truk Lagoon wrecks like never before—alive, colorful, and steeped in story. Across the week-long trip, we’ll be diving for 5 of those days and bookend the trip with a little time inland. Each day on the boat, we’ll log 2 - 5 dives per day depending on the depth of our dive plan.
